Under the Same Sky...All the Keys Are Here
A few days ago, I lost my car keys. At first, I thought I simply lost an object. As the days passed, I realized I had found something unexpected: time.
Time to write. Time to reflect. Time to build on this site. During those days, I had often wondered if everything happens for a reason or whether some things simply happen. I don't have the answer, and perhaps never will. What I do know is that even the moments never planned can become opportunities to create.
While I waited, a new idea was born for this website, Under the Same Sky. A place to share hope, reflections, and gentle reminders that, although we live in different places and walk different paths, we all look up at the same sky. It reminds me that the most important keys don't fit in our pockets. Sometimes they live in our dreams and our willingness to move forward. Under the Same Sky...we all carry keys to something waiting to be discovered.
Bajo el mismo cielo...estan todas las llaves
Hace unos dias perdi las llaves de mi carro. Pense que solo había perdido un objeto, pero con el paso de los días descubrí que también había encontrado algo inseparado: tiempo.
Tiempo para escribir. Tiempo para pensar. Tiempo para construir esta pagina. Durante esos días me pregunte muchas veces si todo sucede por una razón o si simplemente, algunas cosas pasan. No tengo la respuesta, y quizás nunca la tenga. Lo que si se es que incluso los momentos que no elegimos pueden convertirse en oportunidades para crear algo hermoso. Mientras esperaba, nació esta pagina: Bajo el mismo cielo. Un espacio para compartir esperanza, reflexiones y recordar que, aunque vivamos en lugares distintos y recorramos caminos diferentes, todos miramos al mismo cielo. Me recuerda que las llaves mas importantes no siempre caben en un bolsillo. A veces viven en nuestros sueños y en la decisión de seguir adelante. Porque bajo el mismo cielo, todos llevamos las llaves de algo que esta esperando ser descubierto.

La respuesta quizás no cambie tus circunstancias de la noche a la maña, pero si puede cambiar la manera en que las enfrentas. A veces el cambio mas pequeño de perspectiva abra la puerta y la esperanza, la claridad y posibilidades. Tal vez hoy no se trata de tener todas las respuestas. Tal vez simplemente se trate de dar un pequeño paso hacia adelante con fe, gratitud y el corazón abierto. Y tal vez, gracias a ese pequeño cambio, tu dia transcurra de una manera diferente.

What if today you stopped asking "Why did this happen to me?" and instead asked "What can I do with what I have today?" The answer may not change your circumstances overnight, but it may change the way you walk through them. Sometimes, the smallest shift in perspective opens the door to hope, clarity and possibility. Perhaps today isn't about having all the answers. It's simply about taking one small step forward with faith, gratitude and an open heart,. And perhaps, because of that one small shift, your day will flow a little differently.

Hoy nace una invitación. No importa en que país vivas. No importa el idioma que hables. No importa tu edad, tus creencias o el camino que hayas recorrido.
Todos vivimos bajo el mismo cielo.
Como el clima, cada persona lleva un tiempo diferente en su interior. Hay días de sol, cuando la esperanza ilumina cada paso. Hay días de lluvia, cuando las lagrimas limpian el alma. Hay días de viento, cuando los cambiocambios nos empujan hacia nuevos horizontes. Y hay inviernos del corazón, cuando solo necesitamos que alguien nos recuerde que la primavera siempre regresa.En www.holaUSA.com creemos que la bondad no necesita fronteras ni traducciones. Un gesto amable puede cambiar el rumbo del día de alguien. Una sonrisa puede convertirse en el comienzo de una nueva esperanza. Por eso hoy queremos iniciar una tradición sencilla. Cada 4 de julio, ademas de cualquier celebración persona o nacional, invitamos a personas de todo el mundo a celebrar el Día Internacional Bajo el Mismo Cielo. No se trata de political. No se trata de estar todos de acuerdo. Se trata de recordar que, antes que cualquier bandera, somos seres humano. Hoy y todo este mes, le invitamos a hacer una buena acción por alguien mas. Puede ser pequeña o grande. Lo importante es hacerla con el corazón. Porque nuca sabras cuanto puede significar para alguien que esta viviendo una tormenta.

Today, we extend an invitation. It doesn't matter where you live or what language you speak. It doesn't matter your age, your beliefs or the path that brought you here.
We all live under the same sky.
Just like the weather, every person carries a different season within. Some days are filled with sunshine, when hope lights our way. Some days bring rain, when tears quietly wash the heart. Some days are windy, carrying us toward unexpected changes. And sometimes we experience the winter of the soul, when all we need is someone to remind us that spring always returns. At www.holaUSA.com, we believe that kindness has no borders and needs no translation. A simple act of kindness can travel farther than any airplane. A few encouraging words can brighten someone's entire day. A smile can become the beginning of renewed hope. Today, we would like to begin a simple tradition.
Every July 4th, alongside whatever personal or national celebrations people may observe, we invite individuals around the world to celebrate International Under the Same Sky Day. The day is not about politics. It is not about everybody agreeing. It's about remembering that before we belong to any nation, we belong to humanity. We invite you to do one act of kindness, no matter how big or small. What matters most is that it comes from the heart.
You may never know how much your kindness means to someone who is going through a storm.
